INTERREG VI

European Territorial Cooperation (ETC), better known as Interreg, is one of the two objectives of cohesion policy and provides a framework for the implementation of joint actions and policy exchanges between national, regional and local actors from different Member States. Its main objective is to face common challenges and find shared solutions in areas such as health, environment, research, education, transport, sustainable energy and others.

FUNDING ORIGIN

The INTERREG VI program is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This is a financial instrument of the European Commission whose purpose is to help the economic development of the depressed regions of the European Union.

PROGRAM STRUCTURING

The primary objective of European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) is to promote harmonious economic, social and territorial development of the Union as a whole. Interreg is articulated around three strands of cooperation:
